Before your scheduled gas stove replacement:
1.) Make sure that your stove has been cleared of pots and pans in the inside of the appliance.
2.) Clean the top, back, insides and outsides of grease. Have a broom and mop ready to clean underneath as soon as the technician pulls the unit out from the wall.
3.) Make sure that you understand the instructions for how to light your stove and oven before the technicians leaves.
4.) STORE YOUR PAPERWORK in the event you need to access the information in the future.
NOTE: It you have a small fan, you might want to have it ready to blow the small amounts of gas that will escape during the change over out an open window or door. This residual gas is of no danger and a perfectly normal part of changing out a gas appliance.
